S2S Foundation was founded on 14 December 2006. The aim is to financially support projects in Mombasa which have the aim of meeting the housing, education and medical care needs of vulnerable children and youths.The Kenyan/Dutch couple Matheka and Ria Munyasya care for these children and head up projects in order to help these street children. In August 2004 they started the orphanage Dickson Children Centre. In July 2005 the rehabilitation centre for street boys was added.

Due to lack of guaranteed financial support for the long term they had a wish to start a foundation especially to support their projects; this became Shoulder 2 Shoulder Foundation. The board of the foundation are all friends of the Munyasya family and they sympathise with the projects.
